Lord, Teach Me to Pray by Kay Arthur is a 5-session women’s bible study, Monday nights at 6:30pm, (June 6 – July 11) with a personal devotion experience five days a week. Learn what the Lord’s Prayer teaches us about effective prayer and how to put into practice its timeless principles. What you learn will be yours to practice for a lifetime, just as Jesus intended when He taught His disciples how to pray.
During the 7-week, Monday night study (Feb. 21 – April 4), He Speaks to Me: Preparing to Hear from God, Priscilla Shirer related six characteristics found in Samuel that are applicable to women today as they tune their hearts to hear God’s voice. These characteristics are: A Simple Relationship, A Set Apart Holiness, A Still Attentiveness, A Single-Minded Worship, A Sold Out Hunger, and A Servant’s Spirit. By listening to God’s voice and obeying Him, women will be drawn into a closer relationship to God that brings a deeper desire to serve Him faithfully.
On February 27 we had a pot luck meal followed by making turbans, bandannas and headbands for those with cancer or other illnesses that may benefit from the gift of headcover. Many people have been impacted by cancer in different ways, have been grateful for what this ministry has been able to do for them. 149 different pieces of headcover were made and await distribution. If you would like headgear or know of someone who may, please contact the church office (252-441-9022). We will send them any place they are needed.
