MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to Love God with all we are and all we have; to Extend God’s love at all times to all we meet; and to Equip, through friendship, study, devotion, outreach and worship, those seeking to Develop a deeper relationship with Christ and His Church.
The current pastor of Mighty Wind is Elizabeth Tyson.
Find out where we worship and what we wear. Learn about our local church past, present, and future as well as our United Methodist heritage and beliefs.
Find out what’s going on and where it’s going on so you can keep up with all that’s going on.
We live in an A/V world and know that images we’ll see and sounds we’ll hear are often more powerful than words we’ll read. We have an active Facebook community and are constantly updating it with current event pics/vids as well as our YouTube channel. Audio of our worship is available on our current worship series’ page.
We are a generation that knows less about the Bible than any other generation before us. It’s difficult to claim we’re a people of a book that we’ve never read. Learn what’s in the Bible. Learn how to interpret RESPONSIBLY what the Bible says. Discuss your thoughts and grow your faith.
We bring a historic and traditioned faith into a 21st century worship environment through contemporary music, comfortable “come-as-you-are” dress, radically hospitable fellowship, and personally relevant preaching and teaching.
We are people extending God’s love at all times and to everyone we meet through local, regional, national, and international outreach and service. No matter the season, we are going to, coming back from, or in the midst of an encounter with those around us. We are intentional about participating in many outreach opportunities that are child and family friendly.
We offer a variety of programs to equip those seeking to develop an initial relationship with Jesus Christ or deepen the relationship they have already formed.
A small gathering of people having holy conversation is the heart of the Methodist way. It was from these small groups, John Wesley called “Bands”, that Methodism was born and through which the Methodist way of living out our faith continues to flourish. Discover a depth to faith you never knew possible by joining a Band today.
Our leaders care deeply about Jesus Christ and the church he is the head of. They are always willing to have conversation about any topic and especially to help you discern how you may best serve God through service in the local church.
