The North Carolina Annual Conference (regional body) of The United Methodist Church meets each year for an Annual Conference Session – a combination of business meetings, worship experiences, learning opportunities, and fellowship time attended by the church’s pastor and lay member of the annual conference. The General Conference (global body) of The United Methodist Church gathers every 4 years for a combination of business meetings, worship experiences, learning opportunities, and fellowship time attended by clergy and lay delegates elected out of each Annual Conference (regional body).
